Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival

DETAIL ITINERARY:

Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival.
Upon arrival, our local tour guide and driver will meet and transfer you to your the hotel. Siem Reap is the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire. After one or some hours relax, we set out to Angkor Thom’s imposing South Gate, topped with the four serenely smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara. Then visit Bayon temple, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, we explore the Grand Circuit and the temples of Pre Rup, East Mebon, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. Day 2: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples(B).
After breakfast: we spend the morning on an extensive tour of the magnificent 12th century Angkor Wat.
In the afternoon: we visit Sras Srang, Banteay Kdei, the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers and the small twin temples of Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon. Return to your hotel after watching the sun set at Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Beng Mealea – Kullen Waterfall – Banteay Srei(B).
After breakfast we drive for a full day excursion to overgrown and rarely visited Beng Mealea Temple, which served as a model for the more famous Angkor Wat. we will head to Kulen Mountain – the Khmer Empire’s capital in the early 9th century. Here we visit, countless ancient temples, the River of 1000 Lingas, a reclining Buddha and cascading waterfall. On the way back to Siem Reap you will visit the Citadel of Women, Banteay Srei and finally Banteay Samre. Overnight in  hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Rolous Group – Tonle Sap Lake(B).
After breakfast, we begin a tour of the temples that includes the early-Angkor era temples of the Roluos Group – Preah Ko, Ba Kong and Lo Lei.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the rich culture surrounding Siem Reap on a boat tour along Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a “floating village” – boats that have been converted to look like houses and the “village” moves from place to place according to the water levels. Overnight in hotel in Siem Reap

Day 5: Siem Reap Departure(B).
Breakfast at hotel. It depends on your departure flight time you may want to choose a visit to Siem Reap market and/or the workshops of Artisans d’Angkor (wood and stone carving) and/or the Angkor Silk Farm at Pouk and/or the Landmine Museum of Mr Aki Ra before the transfer to the airport for the departure flight. End of services.
