DETAIL ITINERARY:

Day 1: Welcome to Siem Reap

Upon arrival at Siem Reap Airport, You’re welcomed and greeted by our local tour guide and transferred to hotel in Siem Reap downtown. The rest of day is free at leisure you can walk around town to explore the beautiful town on your own ways. Stay overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Angkor Heritage Sites (B)

After breakfast at hotel. We drive to visit the World Heritage Site; visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. We stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Small & Grand Circuit (B)

In the morning, we visit the unique brick sculptures of PrasatKravan, and continue to Ta Prohm. One of the area’s most beautiful temples, Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Its appeal lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle, looking very much the ways most of the Angkor temples appeared when European explorers first stumbled upon them. Visit as well Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda.

In the afternoon, Visit Preah Khan temple. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder-hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Continue your visit to NeakPean, a fountain (built in the middle of a pool and representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som, Eastern Mebon, guarded at its corner by stone figures of harnessed elephants, some of which are still in a reasonable state of preservation, and Pre Rup, the mountain-temple until sunset. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap

Day 4: Siem Reap –Thousand Lingams – BanteaySrei (B)

In the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Kbal Spean. Do a 45 minute walk through the forest to the top of the hill to reach Kbal Spean, the “Thousand Linga River.” Discover the 10th – 12th century sculptures chiseled into the rocky riverbed, the Royal Bath and the waterfall. Continue to the enchanting temple of the BanteaySrei, nearly everyone’s favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carvings. In the afternoon, visit BanteaySamre. Return to Siem Reap at the end of the afternoon. Stay in hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake boat trip – Departure (B)

After breakfast at hotel, we drive to village of Chong Khneas and board on boat to Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. and then transfer to city for lunch before transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure. Tour ends.
