DETAIL ITINERARY:
Day 1: Yangon arrival (D)
Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will welcome and pick you up then transfer to hotel in the city center. Take rest and enjoy your free time at leisure for the rest of the day. You may stroll around town of this special city of Myanmar, the country just opened itself to the world and now waiting people to discover its unique Buddhist culture and heritage. A lot of things see in Yagon , the former capital of Myanmar but nowadays one of the most developed city in Myanmar. In the evening, enjoy welcome dinner and tour briefing given by your local guide.
Day 2: Yangon sightseeing Tour (B, L)
Today we will visit the highlights of Yangon city. Hit the streets of Myanmar’s most cosmopolitan city on our Myanmar Adventure Tour: wake up early in the morning to visit the largest gold painted pagoda Shwedagon. The early birds will be rewarded with an extremely peaceful atmosphere to watch local people and monks pray in front of the fascinating Pagoda. Transfer back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will visit the Reclining Buddha (Chaok-Htat-Gyi) and Mahabandoola park.
Have some rest after lunch, in the afternoon, enjoy some free time wander around in Bogyoke Market and the then Bogyoke Market busy treets of Yangon’s famous China Town and Yangon Jetty. Finish your day off at the riverside where the road flanked by colonize style builds which will give you the impression of Myanmar in old time. Overnight in hotel, Yangon.
Day 3: Yangon – flight Heho – drive Inle Lake (B)
After breakfast at hotel, we transfer to airport for flight to Heho. On arrival, pick up and transfer to your hotel by the lakeside of Inle Lake.
Inle Lake locates in the highland of Myanmar in an altitude of around 3,000 feet above sea level. Here you will enjoy different atmosphere and ambience from middle part of Myanmar. Check-in hotel and enjoy your time at leisure and explore the town around hotel.
Day 4: Inle Lake Excursions (B,L)
In the morning, take a special long tail boat trip on the spectacular Inle lake to see the Intha people who inhabit on the lake. Discover their unique floating farms and life on floating village. You will also see how the local fishmen to fish with only one leg paddling the boat and the Long Neck Ladies who were relocated from the Myanmar and Thailand border. Rest of the day is free at leisure to relax.
Overnight in hotel, Inle lake.
Day 5: Inle Lake – train to Kalaw – drive to Pindaya
After breakfast at hotel, we drive 15 minutes from Nyaung Shwe to Shwe Nyaung train station and take a train at 08:00a.m. 3 hrs train rides to Aung Ban station through the Shan mountains. Stop at Heho station is interesting to observe movement of people selling fruits, water, flowers in this region. Various kinds of plantations and pine trees can be seen on the way. Arrive in Aung Ban and drive to Pindaya. Visit Pindaya caves, Pindaya Lake. Overnight at hotel tonight.
Day 6: Trekking Taung Myint Gyi Village (B, L,D)
Trekking time today is about 4.5 hours!
Have breakfast and we start trekking from Pindaya to Htut ni village up hill through the trails. The Danu village has school, monastery and plantation. Danu is known as old Myanmar people. Continue trekking to Si Kya In village. Rest at the village house with a cup of green tea and lunch cooked by the porter. Continue trekking to Taung Myint Gyi monastery. Have dinner and overnight at the monastery in Taung-Myint-Gyi.
Day 7: Mwe-Taw Village Trekking (B,L,D)
Trekking time is about 6 hours!
The day will start about 8 AM in the morning. The route takes you into the forest, between the trails of big rock before reaching the track of stone. From time to time you will find ox carts. Do not fail to take a ride on one of those. We came out of the forest and cross by the field of cultivation. At the end of the day: will reach Kyaung Su Kone and Mwe-Taw monastery. Freshly cooked dinner and overnight at the monastery in Mwe-Taw village.
Day 8: Trekking Ywar-Taw Village – drive to Kalaw (B,L)
The sound of the preys will wake you up in the morning.
Trekking day start again for the last day. Walk along the waves of mountain under the clear sky. We reach to the place where cultivation is done. The walk become easy and could see more villages. The time has come to leave our porters. (Walking time about 6hrs) About 15:00 hrs, we will arrive at Ywa-taw village where we can find our bus waiting for us. Drive to Kalaw and overnight.
Day 9: Kalaw – fly Bagan – Half day City Tour (B,L)
We will transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan after breakfast.
Upon arrival in Bagan, you will be welcomed by your local guide at the airport then transfer you to hotel. Bagan as poet saying “the city of 4 millions pagodas”
Bagan, where you will be amazed by its thousands of Buddhists pagodas spread in the area of the Ancient City of ‘Bagan’. These pagodas used to own by individual families during its prosperous time.
Your will visit the Nyaung Oo Market where local people buying food in daily life, visit the Shwezigon Pagoda which is the largest pagoda in Bagan painted with real gold.
Have a rest in hotel in the hottest time in afternoon. Then enjoy a Horse Cart Ride for the sun set, you will climb up to the top of the Shesandaw Pagoda for sun set then take the horse cart back to hotel. It is a unforgettable feeling of taking the horse cart ride on the off road treks through the pagodas when it’s quiet in dusk. Hotel in Bagan.
Day 10: Embark on the Cruise boat RV Paukan (B,L)
Enjoy relaxing time in the morning until transfer to Aye Yar Jetty to board the RV Paukan. Enjoy the welcome cocktail in Saloon and check in.
Cast off time is at 11.30 hrs. Lunch will be served at 13.00.
In the late afternoon stop in a typical river village.
Day 11: Cruising to Mandalay (B,L)
Cruise all day with stop enroute in the morning to visit Yandabo, a typical river village specialize in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Moor overnight nearby a village (Ywar Thit Gyi or Pauk Myaing Pauk Taw) few miles away from Ava Bridge.
Day 12: Full Day Mandalay City Tour (B,L)
Enjoy the sunrise. After an early breakfast, the passengers will disembark at Sagaing Jetty (Thursday only) or Gawein jetty (Sunday Only) at around 09.30/10.00 hrs.
Your local guide and driver will pick you up from the cruise ship and bring you to a city excursion in Mandalay. You will visit Mahamuni Image where you will see local people pray and stick gold paper on the Buddha for blessing. You can also try to make your wish and donate money (buy) for gold paper to stick the gold paper on the statue (only man allowed to stick the gold). On the way to the Mahamuni Image, you will visit a gold paper factory to see how people made the gold leaf. Visit the Shwenandaw Monastery which means ‘Golden Palace Monastery” and was built in 19th century and well known for its teak carving of Buddhist myths. Visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda which is a Buddhist stupa that contains the world’s largest book of Buddhism. Finish your day at the top of Mandalay Hill for a stunning sun set.
Day 13: Full Day Amarapura Tour (B,L)
In the morning, about 30 mins drive to Sagaing, the capital of Sagaing Division in Myanmar and located on the Ayeyarwady River, 20 km to the southwest of Mandalay on the opposite bank of the river. Cross Innwa Bridge, built by British in 1934. Firstly you will visit the Maha Ganayon Kyaung Monastery to see hundreds of monks line up for daily meals at 10:15am. Then visit the U Bein Bridge which is 1.2 kilometers long and is the longest teakwood bridge in the world.
Continue to visit Kaung Mu Taw Pagoda; the dome shaped pagoda rises up to 46 meters. At the base of the pagoda there are 812 stone pillars, each one with a hollow and an image of a Nat in it. Continue visit to Sagaing Hill, the hill has a number of small pagodas and with many meditation centers andSoon U Ponya Shin Pagoda; it is located on Sagaing Hill. You can stop at monasteries and nunneries and talk with them while taking green tea from hot tea pot and palm-sugar.
Lunch at local restaurant in Sagaing and take a short break, then continue visit Amarapura,”City of Immortality” situated 11 km to the south of Mandalay and the ancient temple of Pahtodawgyi which was built in 1820 in the Inva ancient town. Drive back to Mandalay and rest of the day is at leasure.
Day 14: Mandalay Departure (B)
