Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi down-town. After refreshment relax at the hotel, we will do an orientation tour including a short walk through the old quarter to see the vibrant streets of Hanoi, walking around the Hoan Kiem Lake – the most beautiful and the heart of Hanoi, take a cyclo ride around the old quarter and attend a special water puppet show. A welcome dinner will be served in a special Vietnamese restaurant. Stay in hotel in Hanoi downtown.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay overnight cruise (B, L, D)
After breakfast in your hotel, we’ll drive from Hanoi to one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, the stunning Halong Bay. Covering some 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone islands jutting from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast on board, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese junk boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. This promises to be one of your most memorable travel experiences in Asia. Tonight we stay overnight on Boat.
Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi (B, L).
Early birds can join an early morning Tai Chi on the Sundeck of our boat.
Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.
After breakfast, explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax. Cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Cruise check-out. Rejoin car drive back to Hanoi for overnight. We arrive in Hanoi at 3:00pm. Check in hotel & free time to go sightseeing on your own. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Trang An (B, L)
Today we drive south of Hanoi to return to the ancient capital of Vietnam thousand years ago. And this place is also called “Halong Bay on land”
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then transfer to Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh (100km far from Hanoi center)
Start to visit Hoa Lu. We will visit Dinh and Le Temples. Dinh Temple worships King Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Temple worships King Le Dai Hanh. These temples were built in 17th century. We will have an opportunity to find out the heroic histories of this two Kings, and their victories in the Battles against the Chinese Invasion.
After lunch, we will take an amazing boat trip to reach Trang An Grottos, which is gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, you will enjoy a heaven on earth.
At 4.00 pm, we will leave Trang An and drive back to Hanoi. O/N hotel in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi departure (B)
