DETAIL ITINERARY:
DAY 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Welcome to Hanoi, Upon arrival at Noi Bai International airport, you’re greeted by our local guide and driver and transferred to hotel. Take some rest and then do an orientation walking tour through old quarter of Hanoi and welcome dinner in local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel and your guide will meet at hotel lobby then we start full-day city tour with Ho Chi Minh residence complex including HCM mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-stilts and the special one-pillar-pagoda built in 1049. Continue to visit the temple of literature built in 1070 to worship Confucius and his disciples. The temple is also known as Vietnam’s first university. A visit to Tran Quoc Temple will be a conclusion for this morning before we have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we drive to Vietnam National Museum of Ethnology to study about different ethnic groups of Vietnam. This is the best museum in Hanoi to explore. You can find here the cultures, traditions and customs, living house styles and others relating to 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Afterward, we drive back to Hanoi’s old quarter to visit Hoan Kiem Lake or the returning sword lake – the historic lake with a story about the magic sword given to Kinh Le to defeat his enemy. One hour cyclo ride around the bustling streets of Hanoi old quarter will be followed and tour will end with a special water puppet show in the theatre. Back to your hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Moon garden sightseeing and countryside experience
After breakfast at hotel, we drive for 70 km outside of Hanoi to Ky Son commune – Son Tay district. Arrive at Moon Garden homestay, have welcome drink with local fresh green tea, discover moon garden homestay and villages (market, kindergarten…meet and talk with local children), then we join in cooking class. We will cook some typical Vietnamese food and have lunch. After lunch, enjoy hand Spa-having your fingers dipped in a fragrant lime bowl and the traditional herbal hand massage
Then, free time for relaxing or further conversation with the host family about local snacks, sharing cultures, and learning about traditional customs. If you want to learn Vietnamese, one of the family members can teach you.
Spend your time to explore the surrounding area with biking tour to villages and join in farming communities or walking in neighboring villages.
Back to Moon garden enjoy more local drink or taste local farming products such as traditional dessert, maize, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts, etc, depending on season. Drive back to hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay Overnight cruise (B, L, D)
We leave Hanoi for Halong Bay this morning at 8:00 AM. Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and we enjoy 3.5 hours drive to the UNESCO Heritage Site: Halong Bay. Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Tonkin Gulf (weather permitting). Pass the night on your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters. Overnight on boat.
Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hoi An (B, L).
Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the 
sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as we navigate back to Halong City. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Your driver will meet you at the dock and take you to Noi Bai Airport to catch flight to Dannag and then drive to Hoi An. Check in hotel and celebrate Merry Christmas in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Tra Que vegetable village – Basket boat ride (B/L)
After breakfast, we will take a biking tour to Tra Que vegetable village which is famous for high quality vegetables. Children can play in a big green garden, take photos with buffalos or try planting some kinds of vegetables. We also join cooking class with authentic cuisine of Hoi An. Enjoy lunch in green space.
Afternoon, we get on a boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also experience paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat while the waterways of coconut palm paradise. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoian Free at leisure (B)
Enjoy today free at leisure, you can relax on pristine beach of Hoian or walking around ancient town and hit the hundreds of tailor-made clothing shops to order for your clothes and also to feel the talent of the local tailors who can make your clothes in just few hours.
Day 8: Hoi An – Danang – HCM city tour (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to airport for flight to HCM city. Upon arrival in HCM city airport, local guide will pick up and transfer to city center for a short walking tour. We will highlight the key attraction of the city such as Reunification palace, Notre Dame, the war remnants Museum Ben Thank market. Check in and stay overnight in HCM city.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta Homestay (B, L, D)
Mekong delta is ideal place for families who want to discover the life in Vietnamese countryside. As our program, today we will visit Cai Be colorful floating market by boat, explore one of handicraft village where your children can hand on experience of making rice noodle.
We will spend one night home stay where you and your family become friends of the host family and children can play with local peers. Join their daily life, cooking some dishes with the owners, enjoy diner and have cup of tea or rice wine when talking together. You can ask the locals about the culture, people, history of this Island. They do not mind to answer some personal questions. Overnight in a private room of local house.
Day 10: Mekong Delta – HCM city
Enjoy fresh air in countryside and breakfast at your host family. Take a boat trip to 
visit some brick-kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay.
Our boat will go along the floating villages. We will learn how to farm catfish on Mekong River. We can visit Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables…
The cruise will end at Vinh Long city. Get on the car drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Hotel in HCM city.
Day 11: HCM city departure
Enjoy this morning free at leisure for relax or shopping until transfer to airport for departure flight, End of Tour.
