Day 1: Danang – Hoi An walking tour (L)
Upon arrival at Da Nang airport, you are welcomed by our guide and driver and transferred to Hoi An to check in hotel. Take a rest and have lunch then do a walking tour to explore the ancient town of Hoi An.
Hoi An’s main sights of interest are all within the UNESCO protected area adjacent to the river and your guide will escort you around the narrow winding streets on foot as cars are not allowed.
You visit some of the Merchant’s houses and Chinese Assembly Halls which are tucked away in the back streets of this fascinating historic town and will cross the Japanese Covered Bridge which is on of Hoi An’s most recognizable landmarks and a good place from which to orientate yourself. Stroll all the streets of the ancient town and search up all the tailor-made shops for your favorite clothes. Stay overnight in Hoi An.
Day 2: Hoi An biking countryside – river boat trip (B, L)
This morning we will cycle around the country off the bustling streets of Hoi An. From your hotel in Hoi An, hop on your bike and follow your guide down back streets toward country lanes just outside of town. Then, take in the gorgeous landscapes of the countryside as your small group rides past emerald-green rice paddies and winding waterways. Stop at several of the villages dotting the area, chatting with locals and waving to children as you learn more about the lifestyle and culture in this region of Vietnam.
Then, follow your guide to the banks of the Thu Bon River for a boat cruise along the waterway. Admire picturesque views of the area as your small group rides toward one of the river’s small islands. After you disembark, enjoy a scrumptious barbecue feast that awaits you! While getting your fill of the local specialties, enjoy a gorgeous sunset over the river with bobbing fishing boats in the foreground.
After lunch, jump back in the boat and cruise along the river as you watch the last of the sun’s rays disappear behind the rice paddies. See the twinkling lights of Hoi An appear as you approach the dock, and then hop back onto your bike to make your way through the crowds at the bustling waterfront to head back to the heart of town. Day 3: Hoi An – Mable Mountain – Cham museum – Hue (B, L)
After breakfast, we drive to Danang city to see the Marble mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn) and Cham Museum……..
Stop first at the Marble Mountains where you’ll discover stunning limestone caves and enjoy the beautiful view from the top. Admire the alluring beauty of the five clustered hills, each named after one of the five basic elements (metal, water, wood, fire and earth) before ascending a series of stone steps carved into one mountain.
We will visit Buddhist pagodas and take in the panoramic view of the countryside before descending to visit Non Nuoc, a village of stone carvers. Watch skilled local sculptors create crafts and other products from marble before you head to the Museum of Cham Sculpture located in Danang city center.
View the most complete collection of rare and valuable items of the Cham culture on display, including 300 sculptures collected from Cham temples and towers throughout central Vietnam. Follow your guide through 10 showrooms as well as an outdoor exhibition space.
After lunch, we continue the route to Hue with stop-over at Long Co Beach which offers pristine environment of dazzling white beach and crystalline water. Be impressed with spectacular panorama of mountains and green valley at Hai Van pass, another stop-over before reaching Hue for overnight.
Day 4: Hue full day sightseeing tour
The imperial city or the purple city is a huge museum of the last Nguyen royal families……
Start the trip in Hue, known as the political and cultural center of the Feudal State of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty, by taking a boat ride along the Perfume River which will take you back to appreciate the exuberance of the old imperial city in the past. Along the river, you will visit several historical sites including Thien Mu Pagoda, the Tombs of King Minh Mang and King Khai Dinh, and see the greatness of Imperial Citadel. Overnight stay in Hue.
Day 5: free at leisure – departure
Enjoy your free time at leisure for shopping or massage ….until transfer to airport for your home flight.
