Vietnam VISA application process to be reformed!
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Friday launched an online visa application website which is expected to reduce the processing time to two working days.
visit the web at http://visa.mofa.gov.vn is available in Vietnamese, English, French, and German.
Applicants can now download an application form online and submit it along with other required documents.
They can also check the status of their application during waiting time, the government website reported.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh said with the visa process made more convenient, Vietnam can attract more foreign business people and tourists.
It is a tool for improving the quality of Vietnam’s diplomacy, he added.
That same day the ministry also launched a center for synchronizing its database, which will reform its administrative work and can be accessed by other government agencies.
Both the new systems were funded by World Bank loans.
